Description

This sculptural dining table, titled Dialogue, is crafted from two book-matched live edge slabs of solid walnut. Carefully selected and arranged to mirror each other, the slabs remain unjoined—separated by a narrow gap that runs through the center. This subtle void becomes a space of tension and harmony, as if the two sides are engaged in a quiet conversation.

At each end, natural voids have been left open, honoring the raw, organic story of the wood. Rather than concealing these imperfections, they are embraced as essential parts of the narrative.

The table stands on solid walnut legs, reinforced by a live-edge stretcher that echoes the contours of the top. Visible butterfly joints at one end secure and celebrate the natural movement of the wood. Dialogue is a piece about connection—between nature and craftsmanship, between material and meaning.
