Coffee Table “Underground River”

The top is crafted from a single walnut slab with a natural split in the heartwood caused by strong winds. The leg is made from the same walnut piece, featuring a similar rolling effect at the bottom. At both tabletop and wooden leg, the empty space of wood was filled with transparent epoxy resin.

Coffee Table “Underground River”

The top is crafted from a single walnut slab with a natural split in the heartwood caused by strong winds. The leg is made from the same walnut piece, featuring a similar rolling effect at the bottom. At both the tabletop and the wooden leg, the empty space of wood was filled with transparent epoxy resin.

The name of the table (underground river) is inspired by the heart of the tree, the central part that is separated from the rest of the tabletop as if it were a separate branch and interferes in different planes with the tabletop…. It is a table with a very special appearance.
